Judging was coordinated by Tennessee Main Street Program Director Kimberly Nyberg, who said the Mount House represented the best in preservation practices. “It’s an example of the small house done right,” Nyberg said. “It was clearly a labor of love for owner Brian Laster, who did much of the work himself, and it shows in every detail from the dormers to the downspouts.”
