About Us

The Next Generation (NGHF or Next Gen) of the Heritage Foundation is comprised of members ages 21 to 40. The Heritage Foundation of Franklin & Williamson County is a 44-year-old non-profit membership organization whose purpose is to protect and preserve the architectural, geographic and cultural heritage of Franklin and Williamson County and to promote the ongoing economic revitalization of downtown Franklin in the context of historic preservation.Since their inception in the last 4 years, Next Gen has hosted ‘Historic Socials’ at three local historic homes, hosted the last event held in the Historic Franklin Theatre, chaired 2 homes during Historic Franklin’s Tour of Homes, published their very own cookbook A Taste of Historic Franklin and have created their own fund-raising event, Three Blind Vineswhere all proceeds benefit the Franklin Theatre project.

Membership Mixers

Next Gen hosts a monthly “Membership Mixer” at JJ’s Wine Bar in Franklin on the fourth Thursday of each month around 7:00 p.m. Whether you’re a current member, interested in becoming a member or just want to network with other young professionals in the area we invite you to come out!
