Inch by Inch, Step by Step, Block by Block…..

Years ago citizens of Downtown Franklin saw the potential future of Downtown Franklin.

THIS IS HOW IT LOOKED:

Here’s What It Looks Like Now:

Hard work, grants, local funding and great design work has turned our Historic Downtown area into a must see stop for Visitors from all over the world. It has given the citizens of Franklin a reason to be proud of where they live!!! But there’s just one small problem:

HILLSBORO ROAD!!! Since the “500 Year Flood” re-designed this area in May of 2010, it has become all but abandoned.   The only re-development has come from the Sonic, French’s shoes and a handful of others in the flooded area. Empty lots, buildings in disarray and other issues have made this area a block away from our beautiful town a dismal gateway to downtown Franklin. This area , if properly developed could lead to a future of better flood control, new businesses, more jobs, and an area that we can all be proud of. We encourage you to contact the Board of Alderman and Mayor and encourage them to move forward with the streetscaping of Hillsboro Road:
